HI! I AM YOUR MOTIVATOR MONDAY!
I like the story of Jael in the bible. If you recollect, Jael was the lady who killed Sisera, the commander of the army troubling Isreal.( Judges 4). Right in the comfort of her house; a tent actually, all she had to offer him was a a cup of milk that sent him to sleep and voila! She killed him. I have noticed that there are loads of bible stories centered around small things bringing major breakthroughs or victory in the bible. God is a multiplier!
-The Widow had just a small jar of oil that paid off her debts
-The boy had only 5 loaves of bread and two fish
-Ordinary water was turned into wine at Galilee's wedding
-Jael offered only a cup of milk to Sisera ( even though he asked for water).
I have spoken to a lot of women who often say they are probably not educated, gifted or connected enough for big things. That's a lie. It's amazing to know that many great people usually start small. Stories are interesting when people tell you how bad, beaten and backward they have been. Read Oprah's story.
This is a reminder for you and I today that it doesn't matter where we have been and what we have been through; especially financially, a greater and better future lies ahead. You have something in you; howbeit small and it's just enough for you to shine and become great. Look within, Look around, Look up , there's much more to you.
Deborah the fierce and exuberant judge of Israel went to the forefront of the battle with the king. Jael the quiet, calm-natured but tactful stay-at-home mum killed Sisera the captain of the enemy's camp right in her house. They both were great women who fulfilled God's agenda. Whether extroverted or introverted, big or small, on the pulpit or on the knees, holding a microphone or turning the wooden stick; executive or homemaker, known or obscure, being served or serving others: Everyone; every woman is gifted and important to God and our generation! Variety is beautiful and God in His wisdom made it so.
You are a bundle of wealth; waiting to be unwrapped! You are loaded!
