I had the opportunity of speaking at the 2023 Women on the Winning Edge Conference convened by Rev. Funke Adejumo, and it’s been strong on my mind to share some of the things with women in our communities.
Some of the statistics I shared include:
According to statistics, the world’s female population is estimated to be 3,904,727,342 (or 3,905 million), representing 49.58% of the global population. Men are 50.27%.
As of 2019, there are 2,825 billionaires in the world, with 336 (or 11.9%) of them being women.and 88.1% represented men.
Women’s financial influence continues to grow, according to a new Boston Consulting Group (BCG) report.
With the total wealth pool owned by women expected to reach $93 trillion by 2023, the twenties are poised to be a watershed moment for women’s wealth.
Women now control 32% of the world’s wealth, and that share is likely to grow significantly in the years ahead. Over the next four years, women will add $5 trillion to the global wealth pool every year—faster than in years past.
Over the next decade, women will take center stage as investors. Today, women control a third of total US household investable assets—approximately $12 trillion.
There are other statistics I shared, but let me stop at these.
Why am I writing you this email?
The next few years are poised in women’s favor to build wealth.
Statistics have it all spelled out.
Scriptures’ reveal this agenda as well.
Did you know that in Genesis Chapter 1, God saw that everything He created was good, but after creating man and then woman, He saw that everything He created was extremely good?
Women were God’s grand finale at creation, after which the Bible says He saw that everything He created was “very good.”
As women, we hardly recognize the super powers that we have and are sometimes timid to leverage the opportunities around us.
I wanted to send this email to sensitize you and make you realize that even though the global economy may look bleak, there is a long-term, divine winning strategy in your favor.
In my next email to you, I’ll share a few common mistakes that women make with their finances and strategies to leverage so as to be a part of the wealth plan of God for women in this decade!
